About
Portpatrick has a vibrant community hall and community shop and is dedicated to fostering connections and enriching lives. Our mission is to provide a welcoming space for residents in The Rhins of all ages and backgrounds to come together, learn, and grow. Through our diverse programmes and events, we aim to create a sense of belonging and unity within our community. We hold regular free events in the Village Hall and have a Community Shop where you can donate your unwanted gifts or pick up some preloved clothes or household items. We have a great group of volunteers who make sure visitors to both the hall and the shop feel welcomed and included. We also help raise funds for local charities and the schools.

Creative Workshops
Hall Hire
Join our weekly Budding Artists art group and learn how to draw with Diana Hamilton, a local artists and writer who runs fun workshops where learning and fun combine to make a great few hours out of the house. We will be running more workshops in 2026 on a whole range of subjects.
Community Events
Join us for exciting community events that bring people together. Celebrate diversity, culture, and togetherness in a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere.
Rent out our hall for your workshop, family party, wedding or any other event. We can supply tables, chairs and access to the kitchen. We have a stage and speakers and a green room if required. Our low costs makes it affordable to everyone and our staff are on hand to help you make your event a success.

FREE CONCERTS FOR ALL
Every year between May and August (except for a few weeks in July) we bring the very best Tribute acts from around the UK for a series of FREE concerts in either the Village Hall or Tennis Courts (weather permitting). Thousands turn up every year from the village, region and across the UK for this wonderful day out.
